Migration Museum Book launched

Languages Matter says Lieutenant Governor

Lieutenant Governor of South Australia and South Australian Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission Chairman Hieu Van Le gave the opening address at a reception to launch the Languages Matter Conference at Hindmarsh on 13 June 2008. The United Nations has declared 2008 to be the International Year of Languages, and the Languages Matter Conference is the first cross-sector conference for language teachers in South Australia, organised by collaboration between Government, Catholic and Independent schools, and the Modern Language Teachers Association of South Australia. Schutzenfest 2008

Beer, bratwurst and oompah bands were the order of the day at the German festival.  Lieutenant Governor and SAMEAC Chairman Hieu Van Le gave the opening address.
