Small Community Development Grants of up to $2,500, or medium Community Development Grants of between $2,500 and $10,000, may be provided to support the establishment of new and emerging communities to manage their own affairs and provide basic services to their members. These grants could be used to go towards the costs of essential equipment and materials to establish the group.
Major Community Development Grants between $10,000 and $15,000 may be provided to enable community clubs and organisations to:
- respond to urgent needs associated with changing circumstances and emerging requirements of their communities;
- pay up to 50% of the employment costs of a project officer or officers;
- promote positive relationships in the South Australian community; and
- become economically sustainable.
Major Community Development Grants are for:
- one-off community development initiatives; and
- are not for the provision of continuing services or programs.
