Conditions

On acceptance of grants, successful applicants are required to:

  • enter into a Grant Agreement with the Minister for Multicultural Affairs;
  • maintain full records of receipts of project expenditure;
  • provide a full Accountability Statement upon the completion of the project and within 12 months of receipt of the grant;
  • return to Multicultural S.A. all unspent funds or funds spent on purposes not approved for the grant;
  • acknowledge the funding from the South Australian Government in all material and at any events associated with the project and in all publicity for the project;
  • provide a report on the project to Multicultural S.A.

Insurance

Grants recipients are strongly encouraged to obtain all permits, approvals, insurance covers etc. needed for the project; and, in particular, take out public liability or other insurance to cover loss or injury occurring to any person (whether visitor, volunteer or participant) at an event or activity that is part of a funded initiative or at a venue used for the purposes of an event or activity that is part of a funded initiative.

Final Reports

All successful applicants are required to provide a final report upon completion of the project. The final reports will help with the assessment of aspects of the Grants Scheme and will enable future projects to benefit from the experience of others.

The final report should include information about:

  • what happened;
  • who was involved;
  • the benefits/outcomes of the project;
  • what worked well and what did not work well;
  • copies of any materials produced;
  • feedback from participants.

Organisations not providing a report will not be considered for future grants.
