Multicultural festivals should encourage the whole community in celebrating and valuing cultural diversity.
Small grants of up to $2,500, or medium grants of between $2,500 and $10,000 may be provided to support not-for-profit community festivals that celebrate and promote South Australian ethnic community cultures.
Major grants of up to $20,000 may be provided to assist large festivals to undertake major activities that involve several cultural groups.
These festivals should:
- promote and celebrate cultural diversity
- raise awareness and understanding of cultural diversity
- reflect the broad cultural diversity of South Australia
- reach a broad audience across South Australia.
