Festivals

Multicultural festivals should encourage the whole community in celebrating and valuing cultural diversity.

Small grants of up to $3,000, or medium grants of between $3,000 and $15,000 may be provided to support not-for-profit community festivals that celebrate and promote South Australian ethnic community cultures.

Major grants of $15,000 and over may be provided to assist large festivals to undertake major activities that involve several cultural groups.

These festivals should:

• promote and celebrate cultural diversity;

• raise awareness and understanding of cultural diversity;

• reflect the broad cultural diversity of South Australia;

• reach a broad audience across South Australia.
