Complex case support

Specialised and intensive case management for humanitarian entrants with exceptional needs. Any agency or individual can refer someone to the program if they are concerned that a humanitarian entrant or protection visa holder in their first five years of residency has multiple needs, such as housing, health or family relationship concerns.

Mentoring program

Volunteer mentors  are matched with people with a refugee background (asylum seekers and former refugees)  who are aged 18 years and above, and live in metropolitan Adelaide.  Mentors spend about 6 hours per month for at least 6 months meeting with their mentee, and help them to practice English, learn about Australian culture and customs, visit new places and provide friendship. Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs)

A respectful and culturally sensitive service that helps people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness by providing services that include someone to talk to; advice on family life and relationships; advice on health services; support with access to Centrelink, legal aid or housing; advice on banking and budgeting; help understanding cultural differences; help to become more involved in the community.
