OVERSEAS STUDENTS
Multicultural S.A. has consulted with community groups on settlement issues for overseas students.
Students and community leaders from the Indian sub-continent and South East Asian countries met with Education Adelaide’s Chairman Bill Spurr and Chief Executive Officer Denise Von Wald and SAMEAC Chairman Hieu Van Le.
Issues raised included affordable accommodation, job opportunities, orientation services, English language tuition, counselling services, links to ethnic groups in Adelaide, homestays, migration and further study services.
Mr Spurr and Ms Von Wald said Education Adelaide’s International Students’ Survival Guide to Adelaide answers many questions about living, working and studying in Adelaide.
Multicultural S.A. and Education Adelaide have also produced a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) sheet about international students.
